Sharon BesserNet Optics VP of Technology, Sharon Besser, calls our attention to a fascinating and eye-opening article in Foreign Affairs Magazine: “The Pentagon's Cyberstrategy” By William J. Lynn III

Digital networks fundamental to U.S. defense are under attack at this very moment from more than 100 foreign intelligence organizations. Foreign Affairs - SeptemberLynn gives an overview of what we face—reminding us that “cyberwarfare is asymmetric,” meaning that enemies needn’t have large, complex and costly infrastructures in order to pose a major threat or do serious damage to our defense networks.

Find out what Lynn believes “a dozen determined computer programmers” can wreak on U.S. defenses—and the essential role played by the private sector in defending our interests—including by companies such as Net Optics  Read the entire article (one-time free registration required).
